Carbon monoxide is a colorless and odorless gas that can combine with hemoglobin to form carboxyhemoglobin, hindering its oxygen carrying capacity and causing tissue hypoxia, with extremely strong toxicity. Its chemical properties are stable, and conventional adsorbents are difficult to remove. Hogarat agent, as an efficient catalyst, can oxidize carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide, achieving effective protection. This catalyst is widely used in respiratory protective equipment such as gas masks, enclosed environments such as coal mines, submarines, and spacecraft, as well as industrial waste gas treatment.
